Sexual Disorders

Ayurvedic Treatment for Sexual Disorder

About Sexual Disorders

A sexual disorder, or sexual dysfunction, is defined as “a problem in any area of the sexual response cycle that prevents the individual or couple from experiencing satisfaction during the sexual intercourse,” according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), 2013 update. The sexual response cycle is divided into four major phases: 1. Excitement, 2. Plateau, 3. Orgasm, and 4. Resolution.

While scientific analysis concludes that sexual dysfunctions are common (43% of women and 31% of men), it is a topic that many individuals are hesitant to accept or to understand. Luckily, almost all of the cases of sexual disorders are treatable at Arogyadham with Ayurveda and Yoga Practices. It is, therefore, necessary to share your issues with your partner and doctor.

At Arogyadham we treat Men and Women separately. We have best-in-class modern treatment centres and world-renowned Ayurvedic doctors, Yogis, and Practitioners under the guidance of Vaidyaratnam Dr. Rakesh Agarwal, Dr. Neelam Agarwal, Yogi Dr. Amrit Raj, and Dr. Arjun Raj.

Vajikarana – Ayurveda and Sexuality

According to Ayurveda, there are three pillars of life: The right diet, a night of good sleep, and balanced sex life. A deficiency or imbalance in any one of these columns results in complaints in the body and mind.

At Arogyadham we treat all sexual problems with aesthetic Ayurvedic methods resulting energy-filled life for both men and women. We have the best team of sexologists in Dehradun and Muzaffarnagar.

Ayurvedic medicine is divided into eight compartments. All have the objectives of maintaining the health of the people, protecting society from diseases and epidemics, and bringing peace and salvation of the soul. One of these branches of medicine is Vajikarana, which is sexual healing. Here, preventive measures and cures for the reproductive system, conception, and pregnancy may be practiced. Likewise, the sexual vitality and potency of the individual are strengthened by these years-old Ayurvedic practices.

The Ayurvedic texts emphasize that Vajikarana is an important part of maintaining health measures; for our well-being is in direct contact with the individual sexuality, and an unfulfilled sexual desire can lead to physical or mental illness. Reckless or excessively sexual behavior is also considered to cause a loss of power, weaken the immune system and lead to diseases.

Healthy Children, Fulfilled Sexuality with Vajikarana at Arogyadham

Arogyadham, located in the heart of north India, has all the facilities about sexual wellness offered by Vaidyaratnam Dr. Rakesh Agarwal, Dr. Neelam Agarwal, Yogi Dr. Amrit Raj, and Dr. Arjun Raj. Our long and proud tradition and expertise in sexology continue in Dehradun and Muzaffarnagar, India.

In Ayurvedic tradition, many Vajikarana formulations are mentioned. This aphrodisiac treatment strengthens sexual energy and promotes a healthy reproductive system. Historically, this was very important to attain prosperity and security in life, because only large families could ensure livelihood. Contemporary Ayurvedic therapies are primarily used as anti-aging treatments and for the (highly successful) treatment of infertility.

According to Vaidyaratnam Dr. Rakesh Agarwal, “The basis of all tapered and potency enhancing measures is to reduce the daily stress loads. Because too much work and emotional stress not only dampen sexual desire but also weaken the immune strength and reproductive juices.” Likewise, sex with unknown or changing partners, with the sick or weak, during pregnancy, during menstruation, or with much older partners weakens one’s energy and health and is therefore deemed detrimental.

To compensate for debilitating sexual habits, Ayurveda recommends regular consumption of hot, freshly cooked meals, relaxing walks in the fresh air, and plenty of sleep to recharge the exhausted strength.
