What is Hypertension?
High blood pressure, or hypertension, occurs when blood circulation pushes against the artery. In everyday language, hypertension is known as blood pressure, but there is a slight difference between the two. Blood pressure is the force of blood against the walls of your arteries, and when this condition remains constant, it is called hypertension. Blood pressure is measured in two values: systolic when the heart beats and diastolic when the heart rests between beats.
