What is Menstrual Disorders?
The menstrual cycle is a series of biological changes in hormone production and the forms of the uterus and ovaries of the woman's reproductive system that are necessary for pregnancy. The ovarian cycle manages egg production and release, along with the cyclic secretion of estrogen and progesterone.
The uterine cycle regulates the preparation and keeping of the uterine lining to support an embryo. These cycles work together and typically last between 21 and 35 days, with a median length of 28. Menstrual cycles continue for about 30–45 years.
